Software as a Service (SaaS), “In the Cloud”, OnDemand, Web-Based Software. There are a lot of different terms used to describe the architecture of the next generation of Enterprise software.
Software as a Service is software you use over the Internet with a web browser. There is nothing to download, nothing to install and nothing to update. We have all used it before, whenever we read our web-based email like Gmail or hotmail, when you book a flight online or when you use online-banking.
